By Kevin Jefferies

Bonham – Bonham Police are investigating the drowning death of a 13-year old boy in a pasture pond. A media release states that Brandon Henry Hodge was swimming with two friends in the pond when he began having trouble in the water. The two friends tried to help Hodge, but were unsuccessful.
One of the boys traveled to the Bonham Police Station and reported the trouble just before 9pm; and fire, police, and EMS units responded. The body of the boy was recovered at 10:55, and Justice of the Peace Joe Dale pronounced the death at 11:10pm.
Hodge's body was sent to Dallas County for autopsy.
