In Bonham, city manager Bill Shipp will be retiring. At last night’s city council meeting, Mayor Roy Floyd announced that Shipp will retire after the end of July. At the same meeting, Shipp commended the council and city staff for their work during his tenure. No details have been released about the City of Bonham’s plans to fill the city manager position.

Shipp has previously served as city manager in Commerce, where he worked for five years, and Royse City, where he served for three and a half years. Shipp is an Air Force veteran and an alumnus of Texas A&M University and Garland High School.
