Greenville – A major bootlegging operation in Greenville came to a close late last week after a raid by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. The operation on Henderson Street in Greenville reportedly offered walk-up alcohol sales to anyone. TABC officer Benny Brothers said the TABC had received much of their information from minors and that the location had become a major source of alcohol to underage drinkers in Greenville.
Over four thousand 12-ounce containers of beer and 39 cartons of cigarettes were seized in the raid. The names of four people arrested at the house have not been released.
