Commerce – Later this month, the Commerce Schools Educational Enrichment Foundation will host their annual Boots N BBQ event to benefit academic programs in Commerce ISD.
This year's event will feature a Texas-style barbecue meal, recognition of 2011 Foundation Champions and exhibits showcasing grants for this school year. Potential donors are invited to become a Champion by donating $200, which includes two tickets to the fundraiser.
Individual tickets are $25 each and are available at the CISD Administration Building at 3315 Washington St.
Since the Foundation began awarding grants to enhance instruction in the arts, technology, math and science in 2005, they have given over $185,000 to the District.
The Boots N BBQ is set for Saturday, April 16 at 6 p.m. at Commerce High School.
