Commerce – Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Stores in Commerce has received consent to build a new facility with drive-in service along Highway 50.
The Commerce City Council Tuesday approved a conditional use permit for the business, currently located along Culver Street in Commerce. The company plans to build the drive-in or curb service at 1589 Highway 50, adjacent to Dominos Pizza in the Commerce shopping center.
Owners of the shopping center have already sold part of its parking lot the Braums. The property has been platted and now crews can move forward with building the new facility.
Gordon Pulis, Real Estate Director of Braum's addressed council members Tuesday. He said the building will include the businesses' traditional fresh market and food and dining area, covering a total of approximately 5,700 square feet. The project should be complete by the end of the year.
