A busy Thursday for Paris Police

Paris Police – It was a busy Thursday for Paris Police; responding to and arresting several individuals for intent to manufacture methamphetamine, plus aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

After receiving information of persons making purchases of ephedrine/pseudoephedrine from numerous pharmacies in town, police made contact with a vehicle and its occupants. Belinda Gorteska of Azle, and Timothy Shehan and Jimmy Baker of Ft. Townsend, Oklahoma were arrested after it was discovered they intended to manufacture meth. Two of the occupants were also found to be wanted out of other counties.

Also Thursday night, Paris Police was called to shots fired in the 1100 block of SE 23rd. After speaking with a witness, police identified Trent Mason as the shooter due to an altercation at nearby residence. Mason was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. No injuries were reported.
