Busy week for area law enforcement

By Scott Harvey

Collin County – Area law enforcement has been busy the last several days cracking down on drugs.

The Commerce and A&M-Commerce Police Department Special Response Team conducted a search warrant Tuesday morning where they arrested a student for possession of marijuana. His name was not released.

In Paris, the police department's narcotics division over the weekend arrested four on two separate search warrants concerning the possession of illegal drugs, notably marijuana and methamphetamine. Arrested at one residence were Ashley Brooke Law and Marcus Ray Pool, and Derrell James and Jason Matthew Garcia were arrested at a local motel.

Then in Hopkins County this week, deputies arrested 50-year-old Rodney Charles Conley for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
