Campbell – The Campbell Water Supply Corporation was awarded a nearly $1,800,000 grant last month for improvements to Campbell water supply. The grant was made available through the USDA Rural Development's Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant program. The program is designed to bring fresh, clean drinking water and sanitary, environmentally sound sewage facilities to rural America's 53 million residents. Loans and grants are available to rural communities with fewer than 10,000 residents.
The funds will be used to drill a new well, construct an 80,000 gallon ground storage tank, a 75,000 gallon elevated storage tank, and a booster pump station. The Campbell Water Supply serves more than 460 residents
