CASA for KIDS receives National Certification

CASA for KIDS of Delta, Red River and Lamar Counties has just been awarded certification by the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association.

The CASA for KIDS of Delta, Red River and Lamar Counties has just announced their award for certification by the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association.  This recognizes their compliance with National CASA’s high standards for quality child advocacy.

According to the statement of Michael Piraino, CEO of the National CASA Association, “The National CASA quality assurance process is very rigorous, and reflects our commitment to ensure every child we serve has the most powerful volunteer advocate working on their behalf.  This certification says CASA for KIDS has demonstrated to us a strong capacity to provide excellent services to the abused and neglected children within their community.”

The CASA for KIDS was started Aug. 1, 1994 under CHANCE. INC.  Since then, CASA for KIDS has served children in three counties with 19 volunteers, with 34 children who are in need. Today, there are more than 950 National CASA member programs across the country, with more than 70,000 volunteers.

At Cooper it will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22 at Chessher and Associates office, 621 West Dallas Ave, in Cooper.
