Cash water supply to ask for customer conservation

By Kevin Jefferies

Cash – The Cash Water District is asking customers to lower water usage. Hunt County is listed under the highest levels of drought conditions and the Cash Special Utility District is attempting to have their customers be a little more conservative in their water usage. There is no water shortage just yet, and the facility is confident about the water supply. The extremely dry conditions have caused stress on water lines, and the leaks caused by the stress have made it difficult for the utility to keep the water tower full.

Cash water customers can soon expect letters with full details on the drought plans. The goal is to reduce consumption by ten percent.
