Catfish Tourney Has Cash Prizes

Fun time on Cooper Lake planned for Saturday, May 14 with $500 added money for some lucky fishermen.
    There will be first, second and third place winners. Fishermen get your gear ready!

The Annual Catfish Tournament on Cooper Lake sponsored by Friends of Doctors Creek Park, Inc. will be held on Saturday, May 14.  This should be an excellent year for the tournament because the water is plentiful, and the catfish are ready for a good meal.  The fishermen have been having good luck bringing in some extra large catfish.        Entry forms are at the Delta County Chamber office and Skinner’s Tin Top Bait on FM 1529 South. Also E-mail at deltacountychamberofcommerce@yahoo.com.  Registration entry fee is $125 per boat.  Registration on May 13 will be at Tin Top Bait from 4-9 p.m. and on Saturday, May 14 check in and late registration will be 4:30-6 a.m.  Tournament hours are 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.  
     Weigh In and awards at Doctors Creek Park boat ramp.  No bank fishing permitted.
     Fishermen sign up for drawing for some extra nice prizes. Visitors come by and join the fun at 3:30 p.m. on May 14 at Doctors Creek Park.
