Chamber doles out $600 in parade prizes

Delta County Chamber Christmas Parade at 6 p.m. this Saturday.

Delta County Chamber of Commerce will be awarding $600 for the various categories in this year’s Annual Lighted Christmas Parade, which will be held this Saturday, Dec. 6. This year’s theme is “An Old School Christmas.”

Everyone welcome to enter for cash prizes. Out of town guest are welcome to enter. The Grand Marshal Award will be $200, President’s Award (Youth/School) is $100, Mayor’s Award (Best Transportation) is $100, Best Church Entry will be $100, Best Family is $50 and Most Lighted $50.

Parade route starts at Cooper City Park up Highway 154 (Dallas Ave.) and travels around to the Square, back down by Delta Supermarket, turn left on Waco Street and back to the park. Lineup starts at 5:30 p.m., and parade is at 6 p.m.
