Change coming atop local service agency

By Brad Kellar

Hunt County – Stacey Blasingame has resigned as the executive director of the United Way of Hunt County, after serving in the position for about 17 months. She said the decision was made for personal reasons.

Blasingame was appointed as the agency's director in early June 2008 to succeed Lana Calvery, who stepped down from the post a month earlier. Her final day will be Dec. 18.

The United Way assists approximately 25,000 people in Hunt County each year, by offering funding and other assistance to the organization's partnering agencies.
