The 67th Annual Cooper Rodeo will be starting the Independence Day weekend with a parade at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 2 followed by rodeo events both Friday and Saturday nights.

The rodeo will feature a fireworks show near the Rodeo grounds by City Park in Cooper following the events Saturday evening, July 4. The Rodeo will not be having a Queen coronation this year.

Enloe

The community of Enloe will be hosting their annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4. The parade draws crowds from all around and is open to anyone.  All participants in the parade should begin to line up at the old gin lot directly in front of the community center parking lot at 4:30 p.m.  The parade starts at 5 p.m. followed by a cookout at the Enloe Community Center. The center will provide the main meal, and guests are asked to supply side dishes or dessert. There will be a water slide for the local youth. Everyone is invited.

  Klondike

The Klondike Volunteer Fire Department has opted to not host an event this year. According to Klondike Volunteer Fire Chief Jerry Wood said the increase in cost was the main reason the department decided not to do the event this year. The department usual hosts a fundraising meal, auction and fireworks display. He said they will address the event again at a later date.
