Changes to frontage roads fast approaching

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Only a week remains before TxDot plans to convert two-way frontage roads to Greenville to one-way. The conversion process begins next Wednesday.

The Texas Department of Transportation has announced a target date of July 7 for the south frontage road and July 8 for the north frontage road.

Crews with Austin Bridge and Road next Wednesday will begin work at Division Street along the south frontage road, by either removing or covering the existing yellow center line stripe.

The one-way traffic conversion is just one of several improvements associated with the $38.8 million overpass project, which also includes the rebuilding of the SH 34/Wesley Street overpass across Interstate 30 and the construction of the new Monty Stratton overpass.
