Charges against Commerce man dismissed

By Brad Kellar

Commerce – Aggravated assault charges against a Commerce man, accused of running over a woman with his van - twice, has been dismissed.

The Hunt County District Attorney's Office filed a motion Thursday seeking to have the charge against Larry D. Harrison dropped, after the alleged victim sought to have it dismissed. Harrison had pleaded not guilty to the charge.

He was observed in Oct, 2007 hitting a passenger inside the vehicle. The female victim was then seen getting out of the van, whereupon Harrison allegedly ran over her, backed up and then ran over the victim again.

The woman refused treatment for her injuries.
