COMMERCE - Anticipation is building among regional Bridge players. That is the day of an annual fundraiser at Northeast Texas Children’s Museum.

Although most fund-raisers at the Museum involve children, this event is for their mothers, aunts, and grandmothers. The event occurs Monday, March 5 at 1:30.

“This is the third consecutive year that the Children’s Museum has offered this event,” said Nancy McFarland, co-chair of this year’s event. “It is fun to see Bridge players from all over northeast Texas, many of whom have supported this event each year.”

Special instruction for beginning Bridge players will be taught by Sharon Fulkerson. Bridge is a friendly game and all are invited to join us.

“We’re excited about our prizes this year,” said Toni Deaton, also a co-chair for the event. “Nila McQuary is making a Bridge tablecloth for our high prize. Bickham’s Florist is providing flowers for our low prize. Drawings for other prizes will be an exciting part of the event.”

“Another first for this year is the special dessert that is being provided by Nancy Doughty. We appreciate this support from other bridge players,” said Sharline Freeman, Executive Director. “This portends to be a fun and exciting afternoon for all participants.”

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased by credit card by calling Northeast Texas Children’s Museum at (903) 886-6055.
