Christmas Season Starting Early In Greenville

www.ci.greenville.tx.us

Crews with the Greenville Parks and Recreation Department are scheduled to raise the City of Greenville Christmas tree this morning in front of the Police and Courts Facility at 3000 Lee Street.

Recreation Coordinator Kimber Patterson said the 28-30 foot Balsam Fir obtained from a Wisconsin company was expected to arrive early today, about a week earlier than expected.

The 22nd annual City of Greenville Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, December 6 and will include the mayor’s holiday welcome, Christmas carolers from a local elementary school and a visit from Santa Claus. The tree will remain lit each night through the New Year’s holiday.
