Christmas Traditions: Greenville Parade

highertrailscowboychurch.com

One of the floats in this year's Downtown Greenville Christmas Parade is expected to feature a nostalgic piece of the city’s history.

Studio A Dance Company, which last year displayed some of the horses which once belonged at the carousel in Grand Park has even bigger plans for the entry in Friday’s event, namely the miniature train the used to run through the park.

Pre-parade music will be offered by the Phoenix Charter School starting at 6 pm on the north steps of the Hunt County Courthouse.

The Grand Marshal for the parade will be the 2011 Greenville worthy citizen, Al Swanson.

The annual downtown Christmas parade itself starts at 7 pm Friday with the theme, “A Storybook Christmas”.
