Commerce – Eight Commerce ISD teachers have been awarded over $58,000 in total for use in the spring semester. The funds were awarded by the Commerce Schools Educational Enrichment Foundation and will be used for innovative programs to enhance student achievement.
The grant monies were given to teachers across all campuses in the Commerce ISD, with a variety of purposes. Last year, the foundation awarded $20,000 in grants. A recent gift of $100,000 allowed the foundation to award more grants that anticipated this year.
