Bonham Mayor Roy Floyd says the City Council recently approved a freeport-tax exemption, that will eliminate a tax that local industries pay on goods in transit. The mayor says the move will make Bonham industries more competetive with industries in neighboring counties and elsewhere in Texas that have already approved the exemption. He says the Bonham ISD and Fannin County will also consider approving the exemption.
