City of Commerce and Greenville to meet tonight<BR>

Commerce – This evening the Commerce and Greenville City Council's will take part in a public workshop with the Northeast Texas Council of Governments. Representatives will talk to both cities about the possibility of joining the Metropolitan Planning Organization. The MPA is a transportation planning organization for urbanized areas, and currently includes Collin, Dallas, Denton, Tarrant and Rockwall counties. The agency expects Hunt County to double in nearly 20 years.

On Tuesday, the Commerce City Council will vote on a resolution to join the MPA during its by-weekly meeting. Tonight's workshop begins at 5 p.m. at the Commerce City Hall.
