Cooper City Council approved the purchase of a new multi-purpose fire truck in an inter-local joint purchase agreement with the Delta County Emergency Services District who will pay half of the cost. The City’s share is approximately $170,000 to be paid from a special fire truck fund set aside for this purpose.

The Council accepted the lone bid of $152,291 from B & A Concrete for improvements to Big Creek Lake Park. Tom Pruitt with Hayter Engineering presented and recommended acceptance of the bid. A Texas Parks & Wildlife grant just over $189,000 has been approved with a 25 percent match from the city.

The Delta County Appraisal District budget was approved by the Council, and the bank depository bid from First Nation Bank Cooper was accepted.

The next City Council Meeting will be at 5 p.m. on October 12, 2015 at City Hall.
