City votes to resolve outstanding issues with L-3

GREENVILLE - But that doesn’t mean the costly dispute that has raged for months is any closer to being over.

The vote was 6-1 in favor of an ordinance for a proposed release and settlement agreement between L-3 Communications Integrated Systems and the City of Greenville.

Friction between the two sides began more than a year ago concerning a proposed re-plate of Majors Field Municipal Airport, where L-3 is the primary and largest tenant.

Still two lawsuits filed by L-3 against the city were pending at last report.
