Commerce, TX – You're invited to attend a ceremony Saturday afternoon at two at Authors' Park, next to the City Library in downtown Commerce, to help recognize this year's selections.
The group includes writer and poet Brenda Black White, writer and scholar Norbert Elliot...whose book on the assessment of writing is being honored this year by the major association of scholars on writing, writer Curt Anders...the first Commerce student to attend West Point and is a Civil War author and novelist, wildlife artist James Green, and sculptor and painter Gordon Thomas.
This year's honorees will have a brick placed in Authors' Park recognizing their contribution to Commerce. Again, the program begins Saturday afternoon at two, followed by a reception in the City Library.
