Commerce, Celeste lose baseball playoff games

Commerce – Commerce drops there first game of a 3-game baseball playoff series to Bonham, 7-5 last night in McKinney. The Purple Warriors jumped to a 5-0 lead in the first two innings of the game, to set Commerce in comeback mode all evening, which they were not able to achieve. Game two of the series is Saturday at 4pm in McKinney.

And the No. 1 state ranked Celeste Blue Devils were upset by Sam Rayburn in their Class A bi-district playoff game. Final score was 1-0, Sam Rayburn. The loss ends the Blue Devils' season at 23-2. Sam Rayburn advances to face Union Hill.
