Commerce City Manager search entering final stages

By Scott Harvey

Commerce – It began as a pool of 36 candidates, and it's now down to four. That's the number of individuals still in line to become the next Commerce City Manager. Those most recent of steps were taken by City Council members during a Monday workshop. It was there where Council members reviewed results of recent behavioral and managerial tests issued by search firm Strategic Government Resources. Interim City Manager Marc Clayton says the council will now bring in all four candidates for face-to-face interviews hopefully within the next couple weeks. If all goes as planned, the job could be offered sometime in July with a new City Manager in office by August.
