Commerce, TX – Tickets are on sale for the 12th annual Commerce business and industry luncheon, scheduled for Wednesday, the 18th, in the A&M-Commerce Memorial Student Center. Speakers for this year's luncheon are with the new Project STEEM program.
Through a three year, $1.5 million dollar grant from the Greater Texas Foundation, university staff are going to smaller school districts in northeast Texas from A&M-Commerce to promote science, technology, engineering, education, and math.
Project STEEM director Kerri O'Connor and advisory board member Doctor Mary Johnson will talk about how this will benefit business and industry and the potential impact on the region's future workforce.
Commerce businesses will also be honored for their economic impact and job creation in the community. Tickets for the luncheon on the 18th are available through the Commerce Chamber of Commerce.
