Commerce – Another Commerce City Official has announced his retirement. Fire Chief Tommy Eaton has made public his intentions of stepping down from the post effective April 30. Eaton has served as the city's Fire Chief for the past three years.
Eaton's departure sets the stage for even more change among some of the city's highest positions. Just last month Bill Shipp ended his five year stint as City Manager, while current Mayor Sheryl Zelhart will soon step down after six years of service.
