Commerce – Two to three inches of rain was dumped on Commerce in less than an hour Friday, flooding and damaging several homes. The Commerce Volunteer Fire Department performed several rescues to help people escape from flooding homes, several parked cars filled with water, and two Commerce police cars stalled due to the high waters.
Other parts of Hunt County also received flash flooding, forcing the closing of County Road 4105 and FM 1568.
