Commerce ISD hires superintendent search firm

By Scott Harvey

Commerce – The Commerce School Board has approved the hiring of a superintendent search firm. A presentation last night by Arrow Educational Services prompted approval from board members.

AES has been in existence for ten years, having assisted in 84 superintendent searches state-wide. Russell Marshall and Jim Dunlap, both former superintendents, will head the search. During the presentation, Marshall told the Board he expects upwards of 35 applicants, and will post the job sometime this week.

Last week, the Commerce School Board accepted the resignation of former superintendent Mike Roberts, who served at the position for just over a year.
