Commerce – Four Commerce ISD teachers have been recognized as campus teacher of the year and could soon be in the running at the state level.
Commerce High School has acknowledged 28-year veteran Mary Wise as their Teacher of the Year while Mardi Leist, a special education teacher, was chosen to represent the Middle School. A. C. Williams Elementary selected third-grade teacher Sondra Feduccia as its campus representative and kindergarten teacher Wendy Bridges was chosen by her peers at Commerce Elementary School.
From this group, an elementary and a secondary teacher will be chosen as District teachers of the year and will then compete in the Region 10 Education Service Center selection process.
