Commerce likely to consider stricter watering restrictions

By Kevin Jefferies

Commerce – The Commerce City Council may consider stricter water restrictions in regular session tomorrow. The council meets in the Commerce Middle School library at 7pm tomorrow evening.

City Manager Bill Shipp told the council that city staff would be examining the next phase of drought contingency plans and likely make changes more suited to the city at this time. Shipp planned to bring those changes before the council tomorrow.

Commerce is currently in Phase 2 of drought contingency, which puts mandatory restrictions on outdoor watering.
