A Commerce man found himself detained by a homeowner armed with a gun, local police said.
Just before midnight on Jan. 12, police responded to a report of a man breaking into vehicles in the 2800 block of Bois d'Arc St., officials said.
Officers arrived to find a burglary suspect being detained by a homeowner armed with a gun, police said. Officers arrested Moses Miller, 32, of Commerce.
The homeowner told police that his daughter saw Miller inside one car on the block and attempting to enter another, according to officials. The homeowner then confronted Miller and held him at gunpoint until officers arrived, police said.
Miller was arrested on two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Miller was taken to Hunt County Jail, released on bond and is awaiting trial.
