Commerce man indicted for aggravated robbery

Commerce – A Commerce man is indicted on a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in connection to a reported hold-up in the city.

Eddie Charles Hines, Jr. is alleged to have threatened to shoot and kill a man at a Commerce residence in June unless the victim paid Hine's monthly rent. Hines, however, was not connected to any property rental agency and the person he allegedly held at gunpoint was buying, not renting his home.

A hearing date has yet to be scheduled.
