Commerce – Commerce Police are reporting the arrest of several residents in connection to this week's organized crime and drug enforcement task force investigation.
Two narcotics search warrants along Smith St. and Westgate Dr. on Tuesday found several grams of crack cocaine, scales, drug paraphernalia, several weapons and cash.
Those taken into custody were Brandon Duwane Kelley, Vikki Deanne Shropshire, Mieshea Sharvette Collins and Chuck Jaquay Savage.
In addition, five other individuals were taken into custody on sealed delivery indictment warrants.
This week's major crack cocaine bust in the region has resulted in nearly 40 arrests at last report, with the help of law enforcement agencies in Hunt, Rockwall, and Dallas County among others.
