Commerce police issue sketch of suspect

Commerce police have issued a "composite drawing" of a "person of interest" being sought in an April 15 incident police are treating as an attempted kidnapping for a minor. The incident was reported as having occurred around 9 p.m. on that date near the intersection of Monroe and Lee Streets in Commerce.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his mid-20s around 5'5"-5'6". Police said he was described as wearing dark (blue or black) clothes, a do-rag and having a thin mustache and chinstrap beard.

Police also said the suspect was reported driving a white SUV, "boxy" in appearance and with a loud motor.
