Commerce – The newest plans for the A.C. Williams Elementary School project in Commerce are to be addressed at Monday's school board meeting. District Superintendent Mike Roberts says they are now entering the bid stage. Permission will be sought from board members to submit the project for bid. Companies will then have about 30 days to submit offers. Roberts hopes the board will be able to award the bids by mid-March. Groundbreaking for the new A.C. Williams Elementary School, to be constructed opposite the Commerce Middle School on Culver Street, is expected around mid-spring.
