Commerce – A reminder the Commerce is still under Stage 2 water restrictions. The city has not lifted those watering restrictions since first enacted last July, but with water usage low in winter months, violations have been few. As we enter summer, the city plans to begin reminding people about watering restrictions, however. City Manager Bill Shipp said that while recent rains have been good for the soil, not much run-off has been created to raise lake levels in Tawakoni.
The watering restrictions in Commerce limit using hose end sprinklers or irrigation systems to Saturday nights for even numbered addresses and Sunday nights for odd numbered addresses. Additional information can be found at www.commerce-tx.com.
