Commerce Tigers, A&M-Commerce Lions ready for more football

By Kevin Jefferies

Commerce –
COMMERCE TIGERS

The Commerce Tigers hit the once again to face the Bonham Purple Warriors. The Tigers are coming off an electrifying win in the last minutes over 4-A Paris last week. Commerce is undefeated so far on the season and Bonham dropped their first game of the season last week to Sanger 20-17 after going up by 17 points initially.

In last season's game, Bonham jumped to an 18-8 lead in the first half, but Commerce rallied to take the victory 21-18.

Bonham lost some key players from last year's squad, but has excellent depth at many positions.

Bonham has lost 13 in a row to Commerce, with their last win over the Tigers coming in 1991.

Kick off is set for 7:30 tonight, with live coverage here on 88.9 beginning at 7pm.

A&M-COMMERCE LIONS

The A&M-Commerce Lions will be looking to pick up their first win of the season Saturday as they host the Midwestern State Indians. The Lions defense showed an impressive display last week, holding Tarleton State to 17 points. There was little support from the offense that notched only seven points, however, as the Lions still try to hit their stride.

A&M-Commerce will kick off at Memorial Stadium tomorrow at 6pm. Live coverage on 88.9 begins at 5:30.
