Commerce Tigers see first loss

Canton – The Commerce Tigers went to 1-1 on the season after falling to Canton Friday, 20-16. Sam Buker returned the opening kick-off 80 yards for a touchdown and set the tone for the game early. The 5'4'' Buker added 177 more rushing yards and another touchdown to lead the Eagles to victory. The game saw several lead changes, but Commerce could not mount the comeback in the waning second of the fourth quarter and the Canton Eagles held on for the win.
