Commerce – A reminder that the City of Commerce has enacted much stricter watering restrictions. The move came in regular session last week as the Commerce City Council voted to amend Stage 2 of drought contingency plans for the city.
All outdoor watering with hose-end sprinklers or automatic irrigation systems is prohibited except on Saturday or Sunday, depending on your address.
Homes with an even address number may water overnight Saturdays from 8pm to 10am. Odd numbered addresses may water overnight beginning Sunday at 8pm until 10am the next morning.
Enforcement procedures include a warning for a 1st offense, a fine up to $200.00 for a second offense, and water service will be disconnected for a 3rd offense.
