Commissioner's seat up for grabs in 2012

HUNT COUNTY - Steve Byrd is seeking the republican nomination for the Hunt County Commissioner Precinct 3 post.

He announced his candidacy this week. A former concrete and excavation business owner, Byrd served as a foreman in Precinct 3 for 18 years. He is a veteran of the U.S. Marines.

Also seeking the republican nomination for Precinct 3 is former commissioner Phillip A. Martin.
