Community Crafters: Pecan Gap Ladies Club Hosts First Fair

There was a wonderful display of community craftsmanship under the nice blue skies in Pecan Gap on Saturday. The Pecan Gap Ladies Club hosted their first Craft Fair to 23 vendors with talents ranging from quilted teddy bears to recycled soda can wind art.

The Pecan Gap Community Center filled with shoppers perusing framed photos, candy, honey, life-like baby dolls, glassware, kitchen gadgets, crafted stationery, jewelry and much more.

Credited with the success is newcomer to the area Kimberly Black, formerly of California, for organizing the booths and promoting the fair. She has Black Ranches Prairie Blossom Kennels and Pumpkin Ranch.

She was assisted in preparations by Helen Park and many of the Pecan Gap Ladies Club members. The Club is already enthused for what they can do for next year’s fair. Many vendors were excited about the upcoming Delta County Fair on Saturday, April 14, 2018.
