EMORY - The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the scheduling of a “whitetopping” project to begin this week in Emory at the intersection of U.S. Highway 69 and State Highway 19.
The project will consist of placing seven inches of non-reinforced concrete on top of the existing asphalt pavement on U.S. Highwy 69. The project is scheduled to take 30 days and U.S. Highway 69 will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the State Highway 19 intersection.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution in the work zone and obey all signs.
