By Scott Harvey

Commerce – A construction worker at the new Music Building on the Texas A&M University-Commerce campus receives emergency service after falling at least 25 ft Wednesday.

The Hispanic male was transported by air ambulance to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

According to Lieutenant Jason Bone with the University Police Department, the man suffered both eye and head injuries. Two members of the construction crew said the individual was unconscious upon emergency arrival at the scene.

The man's name was not released. Unconfirmed reports indicate he was standing on a scaffold when it collapsed. It is unclear if the victim was wearing a harness.

The worker's condition was unknown as of Thursday morning.
