Cooper – A man is in custody for an attempted bank robbery in Cooper after leading police on a high speed chase. A suspect attempted to rob First National Bank of Cooper around 10am yesterday morning. The suspect then fled to Enloe where a pursuit involving Delta County Deputies began. The chase reached speeds over 100mph before finally ending at the intersection of Highways 24 and 19.
A rifle was found and the suspect was taken into custody at that time. No name has been released.
