Chamber's Parade scheduled to happen this Saturday - rain or shine.

The Annual Lighted Christmas Parade hosted by the Delta County Chamber of Commerce will continue as scheduled despite weather forecast worries. The parade line up will be at the City Park on East Dallas Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Judging will be before the parade starts.  The route will travel from the park to the Square in Cooper.

It is free to any participants, and this year’s theme is “Christmas Movies.” Select any holiday movie and create a float. The Chamber will be giving out monetary prizes.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making an appearance. Following the parade the public is encouraged to join in the fun and festivities of the Blue and Red Santa event at the Delta County Civic Center which includes a chili/stew supper for a donation or toy. There will be a series of competitive events including limbo, egg toss and possibly some hot dog eating races. Grand entertainment provided by Delta County’s finest officers and volunteers.
