The Elementary, Junior High and High School Principals at Cooper Independent School District were given appreciation at Monday night’s regular Board meeting. Lynn Byrd, Julie Silman and Richard Roan were presented certificates by Superintendent Denicia Hohenberger and Board of Trustees President Thomas Darden as well as framed art as a gift.

“We have three awesome principals!” said Superintendent Denicia Hohenberger. “We appreciate your hard work, how you care about the students and do what is best for our kids. You are doing a fantastic job.” Darden agreed with Hohenberger in celebration of Principal Appreciation Month.

During the Superintendent’s Report, Hohenberger reported that enrollment is holding steady in the 820 range.

The Trustees unanimously nominated Thomas Darden to serve on the Texas Association of School Boards Board of Directors. The Trustees finished the meeting with a nostalgic tour of the renovations done to the old gym. Flooring was refinished following the painting of the ceiling and new lights.

The Trustees will meet again on Monday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. due to Thanksgiving holiday from November 21-25, 2016.
