Council approves Board of Development budget

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – The Greenville City Council has approved the Board of Development's plans for the coming year.

Among its goals for next year, the Board intends to rebrand and create new entrances and signs for the three industrial parks in northwest Greenville. They also plan to conduct engineering studies for Major's Field Municipal Airport.

The Board's $2.9 million budget and 2010-2011 work plan were approved Tuesday.

The Board is wanting to combine the Industrial Park West, the Greenville Industrial Park and Greenville Industrial Center into one unified park with the single name of Park West.
